power supply

yeah the PSU looks good, has a good review but it is noisey :/
Also you can buy a 6pin connector for ya g-card, though some g-cards come with them.

alright thanks hell its free why not
Why not? Because it's free. Using a free PSU isn't really a good idea. It may work for a few days/weeks/months, but it'll have a good chance of blowing out and taking your PC with it....and it only has 1 review.

right now I'm using a no-name power supply that came with my case(free) with 14a on a single 12v line and 280watts I don't think I can get much worse than that so if the one I have now hasn't blown then I don't think this one will besides it's just a sale $30 normally

the question was will the psu power my system? i thought i made it pretty obvious in my post

and if anyone had any experiences with the brand good or bad id like to know also

It's actually not all that bad, compared to what's usually on offer for free. For the money, i'd probably prefer an Ultra V-Series 500W (and I never thought i'd say that about a free PSU:D ).

Honestly, neither would be my preference (particularly if you end up getting a 7900 series card), but should work.

"For the money"? What money?
There's still a shipping fee on the Coolmax :D

Hell, since they're both free, why not just get both? Use one, keep the other as a back up.
Worth considering. I'm not sure about the speed of processing on those rebates, though. I believe the Ultra V-Series offers a priority option, where, for a cost of 5% of the total rebate it will be processed within a week (or something like that).

I haven't done so personally (being in Australia), but I know quite a few people who have taken advantage of that offer, with great success.
