power up problem??

ok i shut off my computer and took out the ram stick so i could see what i had put it back in and now the darn thing powers all lights are on and the cd drives open and shut but nothing loads ive tried a working hard drive and a diff monitor...any ideas what this could be??

Did you put the ram back into the same slot? If so, try a different one. If not, try the one you took it out of.

yes tried the same slot and a diff slot then i even tried a stick from a diff computer they both were 128 pc133 ram sticks so i dunno

If thinks dont work i rebuild it. Take out all the wires cards etc and refit them

Are you sure you didnt touch anything else? Hopefully you didnt zap anything. Try reseating the video card if it got loose. That's one answer for the symptoms you posted.
