Powering on??!

hey guys.
i just installed a new motherboard, not to many problems really exept that when i turn it off my external HDD and my wireless keyboard are still "connected" and still both have power. before i installled this motherboard when i turned it off they shut down too.

could it be the usb ports?, i do have 6 of them and i got a sticker with my new motherboard saying somthing..I cant remember as i am doin this from uni :P

if not any suggestions?

Is it an Albatron motherboard by any chanse? :)

anyway, there is an option in the bios about on what you can startup the pc, 1 of them is USB (wake on usb or soething like that) Ill have a look in the bios of my pc when im back at home. but im pretty sure that you have that option enabled :)

no its an ASROCK mobo.
but i do recall seeing somthing like that.
il check my BIOS and let u know :)
 
what do you mean? it boots up before you press the power button on the case? if so.. did you press any key on the keyboard, because then im 100% sure the boot on keyboard function is enabled
 
no not the keyboard.

i switch the back of the comp on, u know the little black switch on the back of your computer. and my external Hard Drive start running, and thw wireless keyboard lights up on the recever when you press the keys.

the hard drive seems to be runing. the lights are on and you can hear it spinning etc. its like the both have power before i have pressed the on button on the fron of the pc

how odd, its irritating and i wanna fix it but i have no idea what it is ??!!
