powerMizer vs. onboard

GeForce Go 7600 uses a technology called powerMizer that reduces power consumption.
But which one uses less power and makes less noise? A laptop with GeForce Go 7600 or one with an onboard video card?

I'm about to buy a new laptop for programming and watching movies, and I don't want choppy movies. Is the video card important? or will I be fine with an onboard video card?

any help appreciated

A desktop 7600 doesn't use much power at all, so I'm pretty sure a mobile one wouldn't use much power either. I'm pretty sure it would be more than an onboard, but probably about the same under normal circumstances...

A video card makes no differences for movies. Onboard would be fine.
