powerpoint question

When I'm running powerpoint in my classroom, if I don't change the slide for several minutes the screen dims. How do I prevent this from happening?

My laptop doesn't dim (presentation view), just the screen my students see. I'm running powerpoint 2007.

hold up, r u talking about ur projector? if it is, does it have a similiar issue when playing anything else, for example a movie? and also what grade do u teach, just wondering. i think i remember my history teacher havin a sim. problem.

I'm teaching university and it's not a projector but rather a 42" plasma TV - no problems when watching video or showing internet sites.

so basically what you're telling me is this:

When showing a powerpoint to the class, using the program, SlideShower viewer( or w/e bullcrap microsoft calls it). im not really good at this kind of stuff, but i would love to help. before anyone more knwledgable comes along, try this:

u might already have it, so what, reinstall see what happens.

I am using presentation view

How are you getting the power for your laptop? Battery? If so then try with a power adapter and see if still happens.

I'd say it isn't PowerPoint 07.

It's settings on the Plasma.

Being that there is no movement on the plasma for several mins it has a setting in which it dims.

But when you are moving the mouse around it is fine.

I would try the settings on the plasma.

I don't have a plasma, but I have a LED DLP and it has a dim feature that has it din after a few minutes of inactivity to prevent burn-in (Not like it's gonna happen with a DLP though).

yeah that's probably it, now I have to figure it out in Korean - I'm in Korea and the English support staff are not particularly helpful.

At least now I know where to look.
