Practical Joke

Someone else might know how to do this better, sometimes when people piss me off I send em a little CMD. Just open up ur CMD and type in s-shutdown or something like that maybe someone else knows and then save it as a .txt file and mail it to someone. When they open it it shutadown their comp in 30 seconds if they don't type in the abort code. Btw the screen shot/hide icons is always fun and very easy to do.

Would you tell me more about "CMD"? How does it work? I want to send my friends that shutdown stuff! XD

My school uses a program called VNC to view and control other computers in a network... if your school uses something like that and you can get the password, that could be fun.

How do I force a shutdown in cmd? I typed in shutdown but, how do I use those things like "-f" which says forces all applications shut down without warning

Start > Run > Type in CMD

It'll open command prompt:

SHUTDOWN /t:25 /r

if you type that in, the computer will shutdown in 25 seconds and then restart... You could use that one...

Or you could create a desktop shortcut that will immediately shutdown your system - set the shortcut Target Properties to:

C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s

You could make that at home and then change the picture so it looks like something cool and then send it to other people on the network they'll double click it and... :P

C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s

lol, or what would be evil is make a short cut of shutdown.exe and put it in startup...

Dunno if that would work, but if it did....

Get a wireless mouse/keyboard that connects in USB.
Connect to his computer then play with it :P

I've done it it's pretty hilarious. The guy though it was virus, turned off the computer and ran away because he was scared he was going to be punished for that "virus" :D

:D:D

How do we know he isn't lying and just wants to mess with his schools actual LAN administrators?

2. Discussions which actively encourage illegal hacking/malicious harm to computers/networks is prohibited (this includes discussion surrounding use of proxy servers)

he isn't hacking nor doing malicious harm to computers/networks . He is just playing around with his friend at who's going to have the funniest come back.

If he wants to do that against admins, well same thing, no harm, just jokes....

One of my friends, who got the job as the IT support at schools, screwed around with my school account. I want revenge, I need a practical joke or some type of thing that will cause him little problems. I already plan to use a bit of tape on the network lines:):D:):D:P and on some optical mice. Anybody have some software screw-arounds? They blocked the control panel so, nothing there. I need to know a way to cover my tracks, too. I am gonna get him good;).

Thanks, this will be hilarious, I'll tell ya the results

Umm why don't you complain to someone? If he's the IT staff, and he's screwing around with people accounts, that's bad. You might be able to get him fired. :P

Guys, I am a student, the IT support dude is my cousin. I do stuff to him all the time and its just funny, he's such a geek. If he really pissed me off, I would just find a way to harness the Spydawn program and plant that everywhere. I have better ideas but, those are malicious, I want to do no harm. Destroying something like a school computer is a felony, I don't wanna go that far.

I know with our school, if two people log into the same account at once, when you make or delete a file on the desktop it will just appear or disappear for the other user. We had some fun with that one, since most people havn't change their passwords from the pre-assigned 'e'.

since our system setup is so strict, there is little I can do. I wish I could save to the desktop, the computer hard drive is C:\ and it is locked away. It is real simple to get into, just go into Microsoft Word and create a hyperlink. I do not use the school PC's for anything except a little work at school, it doesn't bother me that my account has been disabled. I just put a game setup file on the volume drive, so he thinks he has to block me.
They will think it is really funny when I use a generic account to deposit a .exe shutdown file instead of a programs real setup file.
