Hey everybody!

I installed a new CPU for like 2 weeks ago now, and i applied thermal paste on the cpu when there was allready pre-applied on the heatsink. My question is will it make any problems? Only applied a little bit on the CPU not so much

Do you have any new thermal paste left? If so, I would take it off, clean it, then apply some more.

As long as it's not leaking on the motherboard I wouldn't worry about it. Those temps are fine for at load. What CPU is it? Make sure you look at the CPU socket and make sure there isn't any thermal paste getting on to the socket or motherboard.

Just checked the motherboard, and there is nothing in the socket :) Btw the pc have been shutdown for 1 week, and its still booting up (If i had thermal paste on the pins it wouldn't boot up from cold)

I need to stop opening my pc... Now its 66C when im playing... And in CSGO 72C..

EDIT: But 41C when im not gaming..

Too much thermal paste is not good as it'll act like an insulator. The purpose of the paste is to fill in not perfectly smooth surfaces so they can have as much contact as possible.

The pre-applied paste on the heatsink was just the right amount that it'll spread under heat/pressure and provide a very thin layer.
