Can you tell me the "brand" of this computer? You know, Dell, HP, etc. Is it a custom build?

The power supply is not sufficient for any of the 8800's. You need at least 450W. The monitor is cool, but overall, I think you could build something better on your own.

Yeah your going to have to buy a new PSU if you want a 8800. Of course if you can, for $1000 if you build a custom PC yourself it will have MUCH better quality parts. All of the prebuilts are usually a very nice cpu, and cheap motherboards, PSU's, ram... and the hard drive will be most likely 8mb cache instead of 16. Also you might need to consider that some of the prebuilt cases are small and may not be able to fit a 8800 without some modifacation

hmm that actually looks like a rather nice computer, all around. the PSU could be a problem source, like mep said, but thats easily fixable.

Looks like an OEM mobo...that's bad news. The Intel integrated graphics. lol. If it's an HP or Dell, installing a new PSU would be hard because of the case design. Yeah, you can drill holes and what not, but who wants to have a hacked up case?

If you build yourself, it is look at something like $800. But if u consider their work, warranty and profit, not too bad for 1k.

Edit: Sorry, just miss out the 22" monitor. 1k is about right.

The deal is alright, but i highly doubt you can put a 8800gts without having to invert in a new power supply cuz that employee doesn't know a shit, btw a gtx would required a new case/power supply

Yeah, you'll need to upgrade the PSU... if its standard type. I suggest building, as to me you could save alot.
