Prebuilt PC HD to Custom built PC?

As long as the custom computers motherboard has the correct connection that your pre-built computer has. For a hard drive it will either be PATA, SATA, or SCSI. Most likely it is either PATA or SATA and I can pretty much tell you, any modern motherboard supports both.

If your hard drive cable looks like this then it is PATA

if it looks like this then it is SATA (not necessarily red)

Can I take out the 200GB hard drive from my pre built computer and use it for my custom computer?
In addition to the above post, you can but you should reinstall windows if you plan to boot from it. If you just stick the drive in and try to boot off it you will most likely get a blue screen.

if you do install windows again are you able to install the one that came with the prebuilt? (just a quick question)
