Preferred anti-virus program

My Nortan's anti-virus is about to expire and i need to know if there is another anti-virus more favored then Nortan's.

Yeah, most people look down upon Norton, there are many free alternatives that can protect your system. Take a look at Avast!, AVG Free, and Avira AntiVir PE

I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus and it works great imo.

I use AVG for anti-virus and ZoneAlarm for my firewall.
