Hello , I recently recieved a 1999 Premio tower with Intel 2 processor. Its model number is PREMIOM TE6C. Also with it came a 1989 IBM monitor with 15 pin connector. Will the monitor work with this tower? It has 27 pin connector. Thank you.

I assume you mean Pentium 2? But...a 27 pin connector? I'm not sure what that connector may be, and I can't find anything about the computer right off. Could you pull the video card out and post some specs on it? Maybe a brand or model number if anything's posted on the board?

sorry i counted wrong, its a 25 pin and its says PARELLEL next to it. I was going to open it up to see if i could switch the RAM for 256mb, but i started it up on a newer monitor and it has 350mb ram! It also has a wierd OS. Like a Hotel Management program. It also says that the CPU has changed and when I try to go to DOS, it wants me to configure the IPU..? Ill take it apart and look at the video card later tonight.

Uuuumm.... I think you're looking at the printer port ^^; But if you got it running otherwise, I guess all's well?

Also, as far as the CPU changed and all, it's probably either not been run for a long time or the CMOS battery is dead.

Yeah it says something about CMOS when i start it up. And that I have to configure it?

Since it has such a wierd OS, and DOS dosen't work, Ive been trying to install MenuetOS. Everything goes good, but it won't detect my mouse. So I cant use it.

I'd like to get my hands on that machine... Sounds interesting :P

Are you sure it's made to use a mouse? Or DOS not working; how are you trying to load it up? Is the boot order set correctly? If it's a Pentium II, it could probably run XP.

But yeah, probably just a weak/dead CMOS battery. My server actually has a dead battery now. Any time I unplug it, it loses the settings. It's more of an annoyance today with so many computers having auto drive configuration, auto time setting (in the OS) and such.
