You're not helping, by saying that, this is a COMPUTER forum. The Raptor is a SATA hard drive :rolleyes:, it sacrifices storage for speed. I am sure he has an ext HDD for storage.


As for the build, see if you can't find an Audigy 2 SE, those things are awesome. The Fatal1ty sound cards aren't half as good.
 
nmwords: Thanks for the suggestion, and yes I did know about these cards I know it seems like I am not worried about cash, but when you think about it there are two things that are bad about the ultra which are.

Firstly. The difference between the ultra and the GTX is $270, that means I am paying an extra $540 for a tiny but of extra peformance, and if you have read the comments it will say the exact same thing.

According to benchmarks and reviews, This thing is a big piece of junk. 2 of these in SLI performs about 5 fps better than 2 8800GTX's. Waste of the extra 500$ on the price tag.

Secondly. The ultra may use more power then the GTX and the Real Power Pro (Which is the power supply that I am planning on using) may not even have enough power to run two ultra's.

I think I will just stick to the GTX's, $500 to me isnt worth the extra 5 FPS.

i woulden't want them either...yet. even if i had the money, 500 bucks for 5 more fps in the %99 games that aren't even capable of making full use of SLId 7950s isen't exactly worth it.
 
That's what I was trying to say, it's just EXTRA overkill, although this whole computer is overkill. :D.

Truly is, digusting actually that its over 800 dollars for a really just overclocked a bit and some would say "prettier" version of the GTX. Come on nVidia. The least you could've done was make it 1GB :(
 
and/or have it support 4 monitors when there slid together
since, as i understand you cant evem use duel monitors with sli

Why do you need 1Gb? The most that any current games reccommend is 256. Yeah, you need 1Gb for bragging rights. eh?
