Retailers like Newegg and Tiger Direct usually lower their prices accordingly within a few days. Theres no doubt that they will lower their prices on July 22nd, but I dont think they will lower them to Intel's MSRP for a few days after the 22nd.
12:01am July 22nd Sunday, INTELCRAZY is waiting and watching on Newegg, for the E6850 to release. And then, he has to wait until payday to order a P35, what could suck worse for his species?
too late for that, o well, it's not that bad, i'll make myself feel a little better and OC my e6600 to 3.4GHz or something when i get a zalman heatsink/fan. Then in a few months after I am debt free, maybe i'll pick up the q6600, OC it to 3.4GHz and destroy crysis. Who knows, maybe my e6600 @ 3.4GHz will run Crysis perfectly and all the other games to come for a while and I won't need to upgrade.
it should come down, or else they would probably be breaking some contract or law or something. but anyways, the third person view was entertaining INTELCRAZY
NICE, just in time for my august build.. thinking of going for the Q6600.. I cant imagine the price will drop much.. Its going for $360 only now.. that a STEEL!!
Once again, the INTELCRAZY visits the thread, he says "the price drop may take longer than in the US and UK, but yes it will come down in areas like Aus." He seems to be anxious because the E6850 is what he wants, he has heard of its hardcore overclocking abilities. The system he has now has got on his nerves b/c it has had problems playing Plasma Pong and gets 20FPS in HL2. What could suck worse for his species?
I just spent like 4 days trying to decided if I wanted an Fx-74 or Q6600.. and when I finally decided to go for the Q6600 and I told one of my friends, he buys one on ebay for $330!!!.. GRRR.. all that research and I wont have it first in our group.. I guess now I need to get a QX6800!!
I know this is the Intel price cut thread, but when AMD cut there prices. EBuyer got it wrong on the same day and advertised and AMD Athlon X2 6000+ for £101 retail boxed. Guess who nabbed one. Then within hours the price went up to £145, but i already confirmed my order and got it for £101.
