price drop

You wanna something REALLY sad, Last year I threw about 100 of these away. I used to be a Radioshack manager and we had our store remodeled last year and there was 3 boxes of these wedge in the corner of the old storage area with about an inch thick of dust on them, they had been in there for MANY MANY years. In the 5 years I was the manager of that store I never looked in that storage room, because it was never used for anything, there were also a crap load of old 5.25 floppy drives. If I remember correctly the UPC data code was from 1988, but I could be wrong. I know they fell off the deck (inventory) in 1991.

If my DM wasnt standing right there I would have, but the rules in that company are if it falls off of the deck you can either sell it for anything above $5 in the store of SMASH it and throw it away and it is at the discretion of the DM. I so wanted to take them and I would have if he wasnt there, but I was told to smash them up, because they are to old and worthless. Normally he will let managers take stuff home like that, but that day was a long bad day. The construction workers knocked out the wrong wall, and cut the wrong wire which shut down all the power in the store, so needless to say he was pretty pissy to say the least
