"primary boot disk 0 not found"

My Friend had dropped his laptop off of a table and now when he trys to start it up, he gets this: "primary boot disk 0 not found" right after the very first black windows screen.

Does anyone know what it could be?:confused:

it goes to load everything with the very first black windows screen than says primary boot disk 0 not found
 
It would HOPE it is unplugged, but guess it is damaged from the fall. You can check for a warranty, or try to bring it to a repair shop.

Or try it yourself...
 
maybe the hdd has come loose unscrew the compartment underneath the laptop and make sure it is pluged in ,if the laptop hdd is broken then you would be able to claim on the house insurance if acidental damage is covered
