I went to newegg looking for a print server. I don't have a clue which one will work for me. in my computer room i have 3 computers. one wireless laptop and two with usb. the print server needs to support both. any help with this subject and which ones will work.

some more info:
I checked and the printer does support wireless. i have the printer hooked up to the
computer i mostly used then share the printer. Can i plug the printer into the router
then all computers will work. as of now i have to keep the computer on to access it
from the other computers.

thanks......

How most people do it, is set it up on the main PC for the house and share it over the network, and that is how i do it at my house :)

Depending on the printer, yes it could be plugged into a router and do it that way, but the easiest and cheapest option would be to share it off one computer.

yea......thats the problem. im doing that now. always have.
I don't want to have to leave my computer on or turn it on to
print from another computer. if it can be done i will try later
and plug in into the router. its worth a try. of course that leads
to another question. Is there a way to turn the computer off and
share the printer. Maybe using something like wake on lan?
the ideas just keep on coming.

printer problems

i've put together a new yet slightly older computer. i'm running a pentium and all is well but my newer samsung printer won't work. all drivers seem to be installed fine. the computer shows that the printer is installed. checked printer with my laptop, no problem.
i'm stuck.

if anyone has any suggestions out there, i'd appreciate it. cheers. sam ...

What Windows version are you running? How much RAM does your system have? What Samsung printer do you have, and is it connected through parallel or USB?
