Print single labels

Hi, (barely) sub-geriatric newbie here, so please be gentle, oh, and yes, I did try the search function first.

The query:
Wether I use Word software or Avery software on asking to 'Print Label' the default is always to print a whole page of the same label. I would prefer the default changed to 'Ask every time' or 'Print single label'.
Is it possible to do this?

Thanx, KA

BTW, Any one want a sheet of 64 J8551 label printed 'Alzheimer Talbets'

In Avery DesignPro when I print, it brings up the printer dialog (mine is Canon) which has Number of Copies (set to 1, Labels not Sheets), and Start Position (select with mouse or up/down box). If I have a sheet with 2 labels in a row, it always print 2 labels regardless of which is selected.

Thanks for that Nano, but this does not qiute answer my question. I am able to print single labels, but unless I remember to change it, the default in Avery Wizard is 'Create a sheet of identical labels' which I would like to change to option 'Type many different entries on a sheet' and also if possible to change MS Words default from 'Full page of the same label' changed to 'Single label' Even if it prints in the wrong (used) label position (say top row, left column) this is preferable to accidentally printing a whole sheet of identical labels given that these are fairly pricey items of stationary.

Thanks anyone in advance??

Certain menus in Word should have a "Default" button down at the bottom opposite the Ok and Cancel buttons. I'm afraid that if you do not see this button then I do not believe that there is any way to change the defaults.

Sorry I see you don't reside in either area. Consult the Help files on Avery Wizard for a number in your area.

I have a very old version 4.0. I don't use the Wizard. I create the labels in the standard app and click the Print icon. The print dialog shows the last-used - Labels in my case (not sheets) and the position for that sheet type.
