Printer connection

Hi all,
My PC has no printer port and I wish to connect my old Laserjet to it.

As I see it, I have 2 options. I can buy a printer port for my computer or a network card for my printer. The question is, which is the best way to go, or is there a better way than either of these.

wait so you use the old parallel printer port but your computer does not have that output?

or are you saying you dont own a usb cable

The reason I asked was because some boards still have parallel port pins on the board and you could just use one of these. You would need to look and see.

Another Question

I Have the same problem. I got Windows 7 on my new GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard . It has no 25 pin connection and I don't think the board will support one.
I can't bear to lose my trusty old Epson Action 1000 laser jet.

Also...Win7 does not support that printer. need driver!

Is there hope?
