I have a Dell computer with a Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 944. it is 18 months old and the printer has worked fine until now, but the printer does not recognise when I put the lid back down after changing a cartridge. On the little printer screen it still shows me how to insert a cartridge and on the computer, it keeps on telling me to close the lid, even though it is closed. I have made sure the cartridges are inserted correctly and that the lid is properly closed. I have also tried to re-install the drivers, but it doesn’t help either.
