Printer Problem

I have an HP Deskjet F4140 and when I go to print several pages it grabs 2 or 3 pages and messes things up.
It's starting to do paychecks the same and then I got to go back void some and renumber them, that takes a while to do that.

Do I need a new printer?
Is the wheels in there dirty and need cleaning? If so,how do I clean them?

Thanks,

Yeah, the best thing to do would be to try to take a clean cloth with some very light amount of cleaning alcohol and try to wipe of the wheels that grab the paper. That's usually what is going on when a printer starts to grab multiple sheets. If you can't get it fixed that way, that should have been a pretty cheap printer, and I'd just go out and get a new one... If you need suggestions on a new one as well, just let us know.

You also need to make sure you are fanning the paper before inserting it into the printer as they could become stuck together and that causes more than one sheet to be fed into the printer. Follow DCIScouts advice as well from time to time.

Good point, that needs to be done on all printers, from your bottom end home printers to your very high-end Xerox copiers. Moisture + paper loves to do that...
