Printer Recommendation

I am looking for a new printer. It needs to be quite cheap to buy and very cheap price per page of printing.

I do not care about printing speed, colour prints, wireless printers or digital camera printing/docking.

It would be handy to have a copier/scanner built in but I am only realy looking for a printer that will print black and white but it has to be very very cheap on the ink cartridges or toner.

Does anyone know of a cheap printer? I am told to go with a Canon or Epson but havn't a clue which.
 
Yeah I heard they were expensive. Im looking at Laser printers, I think this is the way forward for black and white printing.
 
I think hp printers are okay, but not great.I would get a Brother HL 2270.Great laser printer, its my printer for mono printing.Real fast, and cheap to run, like the same price to run as a inkjet, but has triple the ink.It has increddibly good reviews if my word isnt enough.
