Printer sharing help

About 3 weeks ago I shared a printer that was connected to a Windows 7 PC. On another PC (Windows 8.1) I installed the printer by adding a printer and choosing the printer from the 7 PC. All worked great. Today the Windows 8 machine cannot print. After fighting with it, I uninstalled the printer from the 8 PC. The 7 PC still prints. When I tried to reinstall the printer on the 8 machine, I got this (see pic attached).
I don't recall this when I installed it originally.

The printer is shared. Network discovery and file & print sharing are on. Password protected sharing if off. When I looked to see what network group the PC's were on, this is what they were set to >Windows 7 PC was set to Home Network and Windows 8 PC was set to Private Network. I think they need to be the same but can't figure out how to make it happen. They don't have the same options. I think that Private is the same as Home and Work. By the way, there is only one network. I can get to the 7 PC from the 8 PC just fine.

I have done this many times before with no problem. The request for user name and password has got me.

Sorry, cannot get attachment to post.

Don't post the screenshot as an attachment. Host it somewhere like Tinypic or Photobucket.

As for the username and password, enter the username and password of a user on the Windows 7 PC.

Thanks voyagerfan99. I did try that and a window pops up as something to the effect that overwriting the credentials could make some applications not function. I have never seen this before. Not sure what it means.

If you can network the printer either by being wireless or ethernet connection, I recommend doing it as it makes it much simpler to setup.

I took another look to make sure I had everything set correctly which it was. I also want to copy down the message it gave when I entered user name and password so I could research it. I rebooted both PCs and then tried to load the printer on the 8 machine and everything worked. It did not ask for a user name and password. I also found out they installed Microsoft updates last night and it caused the task-bar to go from bottom to left side. All seems to be OK for now. Thanks everyone for your response.
