printer.......which one?

hi can anyone advise me on a good reasonable priced printer, i cannot believe the price of some of the inks.
is it better to pay more for printer and less for inks or is there an alternative, i have seen brother c135 for £34.00 but how do i know if this is a good buy, i am very confused and need a little guidence many thanks
 
The printer you decide on depends on what you want to use it for, photo printing, text, a bit of both and would you want an all in one with scanner.

Printers are sold cheap because they know that the ink consumables price will more than make up for it.
 
regarding which printer to purchase

Hi I saw you posting and I am currently selling a canon ip1500 brand new in box/never opened and sealed. This printer uses no chip technology and therefore you can use generic inks. The price of ink for this is printer is about 73 cents a tank. please see for yourself on ebay.

If i was buying a printer i would consider if it was possible to easily share on the network. say a laptop. maybe a print server or plugging into a router for access if possible. just another thought.
