Hello,
I bought a new mobo DG965RYCK last week ...After installing it's drivers from the cd , I went to here and downloaded all the new ones:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go!

Now the problem is that when i switch on the wall plug ...my pc turns itself on and then turns off after couple of seconds ... i can see the green led turn on and then turn off after 2 or 3 seconds....I disabled wake on lan option in the bios but that didn't help as well.....

That is either a bios issue or a power supply issue, in my opionion anyway.

Just because the PSU is new doesn't mean it isn't bad. So exactly what happens? Does it shut off AFTER POST or what? From your original post I assume it shut off during POST(IE you wouldn't be able to get to the bios...)

Yes I can get into the bios .... power supply is brand new ...

There is no way you can get into the bios if the computer shuts off with a couple seconds of turning it on..... First try a different power supply. And then if it still don't work then sounds like you might have a hardware issue when you updated the bios. And just for future info...Don't be upgrading the bios just to upgrade. The newest bios is not always the best and bios upgrades can and do go wrong more frequently then not and then you are stuck with a paperweight.

I think you didn't understood my problem....The problem is that when i switch on the wall plug the green led on my tower comes on for 2 seconds and then turns off ....i can then turn on the pc perfectly by pressing the power button on my tower and run my pc perfectly even going into the bios ....what i am saying is that why does the green led turns on by itself when i switch on the button from the wall....

I'm going back to original post. It's either a bios or a power supply issue. And if it didn't do this before you updated the bios then most likely its a bios issue. But as long as everything is working okay, then i wouldn't worry about it too much.

You'll probably have to flash it using the dos utility, not the windows utility. did you backup the old bios before updating? hopefully you can find the old version you had online.
