problem, after downloading

Recently I had my OS, after several years of use, completely reinstalled. So, now I am in the mist of installing programs, drivers, etc.

After downloading, a double left click or a right click fails to activate the download from the file. Suggestions?

Problem is with Canon, HP and Microtek drivers/programs/fixes after downloaded from web to the download folder.

How would running Word as administrator or being logged into an administrator account affect anything related to this at all?

Answer: It wouldn't.

Seems even photos downloaded, in fact everything is affected.

Um no, got confused when you mentioned mouse drivers, there's another thread with a problem with Word and their mouse.

Mouse drivers shouldn't have anything to do with it.
