Problem booting

Computer downstairs won't boot all of a sudden. Stalls while starting up and says "boot from cd"

I checked the startup sequence and all looks good. Set to default tried a couple more times and still the same thing.

What should I do?

I hope this isn't the case but it sounds like your hard disk drive may have died try opening the case and see if any of the cables have been bumped loose.

yeah i was gonna open up the case and clean the dust out and all. i was thinking maybe this was the case i hope not:confused: really hope just a loose cable
 
Well I opened up the case and checked the wires out. All plugged in fine.

One thing I noticed while booting it says "ddr2 at banks 0"

So I switched the ram stick to the other bank and now it says "ddr2 at banks 2"

???

Could this be a RAM problem?
