problem connecting laptop to monitor

Hi,
I have a problem with my laptop.
I gotta laptop Sony Vio, and when I connect it
to TV monitor or to computer LCD screen, I see
the picture of my laptop, and everything is working,
but if I open a DVD movie with WinDVD program, it runs
in the laptop, but not in the screen.
what is the problem ?

You need to set up the monitor to preview on the TV.

Right click on desktop, properties, settings, and click the 2nd screen. Screen should flip to the TV one.
