Hey,
I have been using broadband internet connection on my Hp laptop, dv6, for about an year. For about two months I am having problem in connecting to internet. The problem is that I have to disable and enable the Local Area Connection in order to connect to internet. Sometimes, I also need to unplug and then again plug the cable. When neither worked, I have to restart my laptop. I contacted my ISP and they say that there is problem with my laptop and their connection/line is fine.
So I took my laptop to my supplier. After keeping the laptop for few days, they said that everything is fine with my laptop and also changed my OS to Windows 7 from Vista. However, the problem still exists. Also, even after I connect to internet, the line sometimes seems slow. Pages do not load properly. Temporary solution is achieved by disconnecting and again connecting to the internet. I again contacted my ISP but they still say that there is nothing wrong with their connection.
So now I am confused whether the problem is with my laptop or internet connection. Please help me.
Some details about my laptop:
Network adapter: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
Operating system: Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core2duo, 2.40 GHz
