problem installing hp 7760 printer

hi,
anytime, after installing the softwares and rebooting, i'm told the installation was not complete and it uninstalls on its own.
the OS is winxp and the only related cause in the troubleshooting guide would be an incompatibility with the AV or another software. so i follow the steps: unabled start-up apps loading, reboot, install, allow start-up apps, reboot but it keeps uninstalling afterward.
any ideas?

yes, but have u tried to manually install it from the disk in safe mode by opening the install.exe from the disk while in safe mode?
 
yep, that's what i did. that's during the installation it says windows installer can't be loaded...
