Problem installing XP

I've just built my first computer, and everything went fine. However, when I try to install Windows XP, I encounter a problem.

Because I'm using a S-ATA HDD, I need to install the drivers for it. I get the message saying:

Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver...

and then

Setup could not determine the type of one or more mass storage devices installed in your system, or you have chosen to manually specify an adapter...

I then get to the screen saying :-

Please insert the disk

Manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk

into drive: A

*Press Enter when ready

Here's the problem,

I put the floppy disk in and press enter, but it doesnt do anything. The message flashes off screen for a second and then comes back.

My motherboard is a Asus K8V-X.

I had the same problem with my gigabyte board and my sata hd. If i were you i would just go to Asus's website and send them an email with your mother board and harddrive model # and im sure they will gladly send you the right driver for it.

i have a sata hdd and i dont remeber ever installing drivers for it? hmm mabe changing the boot order would help? what are the computers specs
