Problem with Acer laptop

I have an Acer Aspire v3-551g-8454 laptop. Lately it has been shutting itself off after anywhere from 5 to 24 hours of it being turned on. In the past I could simply turn it back on and resume from there. Now, when I try to turn it back on, the power button just flashes a few times and the laptop doesn't turn on. The laptop doesn't feel overly hot anywhere on it's surface.

Any tips?

Thanks

The only thing I can suggest is to download a temperature program such as core temp or real temp and keep an eye on it. Does the lights flash with just the battery in or does it only happen with the power adapter attached? Could be charger or the actual power port on the laptop.

Thanks for responding johnb35. I was wrong about the flashing light. That was because I didn't have the power adapter plugged in. The laptop still shuts down randomly, though (whether or not the power adapter is in).

Like I said, install a temperature program and see what the temps are. Use either real temp or core temp.
