Problem with build

Okay, so I just built a new computer (specs in my sig) and I went to install the OS (Windows XP) to boot it up for the first time. I get nothing going into the monitor. Everything's plugged in fine, but I don't get any image on the monitor, not even the BIOS. Can I get some help?

check all cables.. clear cmos... check all cables again...

mmm.. try to isolate the problem.. you should test all components on another computer to see if they work.

Will do tomorrow, don't have time tonight.

I don't have any other computer to test any of these in, it's the most advanced around x.x

After you try that, do you get any beeps of any sort?

Your case should've came with a case speaker, plug that in and see what happens. If you aren't getting any beeps, take out all the ram and see if it beeps. Every motherboard will give an error code for missing ram if it's posting, we'll start from there.

You didn't mention the PSU. Can it handle the Graphics Card (GC). Is it plugged into the Graphics Card? Check the 24 pin connector to make sure it is pushed all the way in. Reseat the memory and the GC. Also reseat the 8-pin connection. Did you plug the PSU into the extra power connector on the MB? It also has a Molex connection. All that said, is your memory on the approved list for the MB? Try just one stick at a time in one slot at a time etc. You might also try to find an old PCI GC and try that in case the PCIe slot or the new GC is faulty.

God bless.

try booting with only one stick of your ram, if you have a bad stick of ram your computer wont boot, so try with one stick, if that doesnt work try with the other, if that doesnt work, try useing onbored graphics its very possible its the gpu, or power supply

what happened when you bench tested the board, before putting it in the case? were you able to get to the bios?

1) What brand/model is your power supply?

2) What are your specifications? (in your sig?)

3) Does the computer make ANY beeps of ANY kind WITH the pc speaker connected? (i'm not talking about the regular speakers you listen to music on.)

1) It's TurboLink. I got it for free, but it seems to work quite fine, it was never used.
2) My specs are in my sig, what else is needed?
3)There are no speakers in this case.

Hmm I think I figured out the problem.
There's a second power connector (8pin) for the CPU, which my PSU doesn't have. So I think I'm going to have to RMA my mobo and get a new one.
