problem with comp restarting

i put my usb thumb drive in, and the computer freezes then restarts on its own. whats wrong? im running windows xp and this problem just started a couple days ago for no apparent reason. thanks
 
It's a driver problem... you need to specifiy more than that... but it's probably driver problem...
 
what do you mean roll it back? and it wont even open, i cant view any files. are you talking about safe mode on comp or usb? and also i have two of the same usb's and the same happens on both. i tried in multiple ports, still restarts

if its happening with both of your USB's and theyre from the same company then it's a driver problem like the ones before me said, check the companys web site that makes them and see if they have any drivers out.
 
alright, also to let you know, i dont have the internet hooked up to the computer, so does the computer even know that the driver is outdated? ill look for a new driver though
 
o, and it works on my parents computer fine. do i need to download the driver onto the computer, or the card?
