problem with Counter Strike: CZ

I just got CZ and it runs great but there is no sound. Anyone else have this problem/Know how to fix it? Ive got kinda of an old comp, 99 Micron, but it meets all the minimums Plus... Help? anyone?

Have you tried re-installing it?
 
Update your soundcard drivers? Seems like the answer to every problem is updating drivers but it may work...may not.
 
I did try re-installing it, didnt have any luck, stil no sound. ill try to update the drivers.
 
Yeah, sound on everything else is working fine. Just not on CZ. I have had a problem in the past with Sierra games, ie the original Half Life game, it had the same problem so i dont know if its something in the programming that my computer doesnt like or or if the sound card, seattle 2 PII 440 BX ATX integratted with the mother board, just sux... The computer is a 1999 Micron Millennia PIII 500Mhz.
 
It could be a Directsound issue. Might be worth installing a later version of DirectX if you haven't done so already.
 
check the settings in cs and make sure that it sees the card and that the options are correct. And update and sound drivers taht you have.
