Problem with DVD Drive....

Ok sorry if this is in the wrong spot. But I just got a new custom computer and about 90% of the time that insert a CD-R that has Videos on it or when I insert for example a disc to install something on my computer like "I-Tunes" it automatically restarts. Well when I click on a certain video on the disc or click on the Set Up for the program I want. Sorry if I am not being very specific.

If anyone could help I would extremly appreciate it!! :)


EDIT: Now I just put in a CD and opened a folder to see what was on it and all of a sudden it restarted!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!! :mad: :eek:

I know why... It only does it when I try to install like HP Updates. Like my DVD Burner wasnt working because I didnt install the Drivers lmao!! My step dad just pointed that out. I thought he did already but I guess not.

So you needed drivers? That's weird. Since when do you need drivers for DVD drives (Supposing you are using Windows XP)?
