problem with Google and other sites

Here in the past couple days I have been having trouble with Google. I will type in something I am looking for and click on a result and it says server not found. It won't even let me click on the images tab or the news tab. I will be using Google then with no warning it quits working. Is anybody else having problems with Google or is it just me?

I changed my profile in AVG to allow all traffic, turn the windows firewall off but none of that helped.

Now it is working and I did not change anything. I don't understand this one minute it will be working and the next minute it will quit.

There is something strange going on. Now the search tool on ebay doesn't work. The search tool works now but now I can't view the items.

Which browser are you using? You may have something embedded in the program and need to do a reinstall. (If the scan doesn't work...)

That happens with FF but it doesn't do what he said. You just can't view even the homepage.

I use Firefox. I scanned my system with Adaware and Spybot search and destroy. They found some things but they were just cookies. It still didn't help after I deleted them. I tried to use Internet Explorer 7 and did the same thing.

Right now, everything is working. But it could quit working without warning.

Do you have any addons of firefox?
Cause that can be the problem, if you've set some parental control or adblocked an image, that might be the reason...

But I've never seen that kind of problem before...

I have noticed that when google quits on me so does the ebay search tool. The weird thing is that google doesn't completely quit working. I can still type in something and it will bring up search results but I can't quit on the results to go to the page. Could someone help me figure out what is going?

Well I do have the IE Tab and the Talkback addons but talkback is not enabled. Could IE Tab be causing trouble?

try turning it off...just a thought...i assume you've tried a reinstall. Vague i know...but then so are you circumstances

This may or may not have anything to do with the problem but while I was doing stuff on my system, I noticed that AVG email scanner was trying to connect to a different ip address. I tried writing it down but it went away to quick. Also about a week or so a go my internet quit working all together and the number it was trying to connect to was similar to this number. I'm not sure if they were the same or not.

This could have nothing to do with my problems with google and ebay but the problem started after the internet quit working. I had to enter the ip addresses manually to get it working again.
