Problem with hardrive

At least I think it's the hard-drive. Quite frequently, I've had to reset my hard-drive (take the wires out of the hard-drive then plug them back in) in order to allow my computer to be able to turn on. Otherwise it just won't come on and tells me there's an error. I formatted my computer last week (Sunday) and the problem still exists so it's probably the hard-drive. It happened today and yesterday.

Something like:

read disk error
press cntrl+alt+delete

Cntrl+alt+delete just restarts the computer and the same message comes up again. To solve it, you just turn the computer off and plug the wires out of the hard-drive and plug them back in. But I shouldn't have to do that every 1-2 weeks.

your hard drive is probably just on it's way out.
see if you can do a complete checkdisk in windows.
if that gets up with any bad sectors i'd get a new one.
