Problem with installing Zone Alarm

I uninstalled ZA, reason doesnt really matter. I download the installer, open it up, and get the 'Initialising: Verifying installed components'. If I alt-tab out of the message, then back, it stops responding.

I'm going to try it at default clocks. So, will provide an update in a few mins.

Could it be that it did not uninstall properly?

EDIT: The installer simply crashes as soon as it opens. Any idea why?

Uninstalling ZA has issues go to ZA site for the info on how to properly do it.

Is Zone Alarm running in the background while you are trying to uninstall it? It has to be running in order for you to uninstall it. I had something like that happen to me when I uninstalled my copy of it, and I learned it has to be running to enable you to uninstall it.
