I am having trouble with my internet at the moment, and i'm insure as to what the problem is. My internet connection is working fine, as I can use msn messenger. However when I open my internet browser either internet explorer or firefox, it loads onto the homepage(google) but will go no further if I try access a website. And sometimes when i'm on IE I get random windows popping up. I'm guessing I have some sort of virus or spyware or something on there, I have AVG as my anti virus, and do have the windows firewall on. I have done virus scans and it has removed any that were found but still no luck with the internet. Please help!!

Since you suspect a security issue please post a thread in the Computer Security section of the forum. I'm sure someone will help you there, be sure to include in depth details regarding your problem and what the pop up says or even a screen shot.
Although you suspect the security of your computer may be the problem it may not be the case but ruling it out is always good.
