Problem with LCD monitor

I have a 3 year old Dell E151B 15" LCD monitor. For the last year, starting (I seem to remember, but it might have just been about the same time) when I installed my AGP Geforce 6600 GT graphics card, I've had sporadic incidents of the monitor "whiting out" - sometimes it flickers completely white, and it even can go white for 20 minutes without returning, and spend the majority of hours in this whited-out state. I've updated drivers and everything is plugged in securely. Is it the graphics card or is this the monitor going bad? Most people i talk to seem to think its the monitor, but I can'tjust write off the graphics card.

BTW - When I say "white out", the entire screen goes completely white and I can't read anything on it. Sometimes it just flickers back and forth, sometimes itj ust sits there white for long stretches.

Best way to narrow it down would be to swap out the LCD for a plain CRT monitor. If that whites out, then your graphics card is shot. No white out? Suspect the LCD. That's what I'd do for starters.

My thoughts exactly... Try another monitor first, or even try going though your TV(say duel view) and see if it happens there too...
