I have a Asus A8n Sli Deluxe motherboard and i just finished building my pc, but when i turn it on it starts beeping continuously, at first there was a red light on the motherboard, i check and it was that i placed the video card in the wrong pci express slot, but now i turn it on and all you hear is a beep after another, maybe 4 seconds between each beep. i dont know what the beeps mean, i tried looking at the phenix bios beep codes but there is no answer for contiuously beeps. if anyone have any idea about what may be, please let me know. thank you

A bad cpu? A bad memory module? Or both? Another immediate thought is to
swap your memory modules to each other's slots if you have a multiple dimms
and reseating the one or more installed. Hopefully all it will take is a reseating
and not a board issue being another possible cause. Recently a friend had the
fun with board after board of the Asus A8N SLI Premium model where a vendor
received a bad batch. When switching to a different model Asus mobo the pc
fired right and has run normal since. Try the reseat of memory first though.

hook up some speakers to your system then turn them up, the motherboard will TELL you whats wrong with it.... i had that mobo.... im trying to think of what it is...... do you have your 4-pin power plugged into your mobo on the top left of it?

thanks guy, i called the mobo tech support and they told me to switch the memory stick to a different slot and it solved the problem, i had it on A1 slot and it was suppose to be on B1
