Hey,

I was gonna try out some new clocks since I had been at 920/1400 for a while. I bumped it up 5 mhz at a time on the core while playing BFBC2 and when I was at 960 I tried some furmark. Before I got it up to 960 I got about 2500 score. When I tried it at 960 I was just getting 1900 all of a sudden. I tried to lower the clocks to 920/1400 and still i got 1900. I tried at stock clocks too but still got 1900.

I even get lower fps in BFBC2 too.

Any ideas what the problem is?

you just roasted your card...... ehhh jk, I had the problem too with low fps, make sure you clean your drivers a couple times, then reinstall 11.4. give that a try

I did. Not sure if i had higher fps before. I still get around 1900 at 1920x1080 while using the latest furmark and around 5400 @1280x?? when using version 1.8.2.

Are you using the same settings with both programs? Maybe some background programs you forgot to end before using furmark?

Try unlocking the shaders. All i can say is watch the absolutely massive performance increase that it provides. Its incredible the amount of horsepower that is locked. Its like taking the governor off a lamborghini diablo SV, only to gain an additional 200 horsepower.

I unlocked my shaders and I get the exact same performance as my stock bios. I'm also getting the same scores in furmark as the stock bios. Around 2240-2260. This doesn't make any sense to me why there is no performance increase.

The newer 6950's are unable to unlock shaders, so you might have just unlocked the clocks of a 6970. If that's the case, you should still see an increase- but not the same kind of performance it would have been for a shader+clock unlock.

Well I boosted my power to +20 and that did the trick. But it's still not a huge noticeable increase than stock. I have the shaders unlocked plus OC'ed to 870/1300 and I am noticing only about a 4-5 fps increase in most of my games.(Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Shift 2)

Sorry, little late but.

I got around 2200 before and now I get 1900 so I'm just wondering about that, gonna unlock shaders maybe if possible.

I bought my 6950s about 3 weeks ago (version 1.2) and I as able to unlock shaders on both of them.

So i dont know what is considered as the "newer" 6950s, but mine I would assume as the new ones.
