Hello,

for the past month I have been un able to use my microsoft word, it comes up with the white page however no icons such as file, edit, view, history ect ect or even any icons such as font, font size ect it just says at the top of the page (not responding) like it has frozen, we have tried un-installing word and then re-installing it but that hasnt worked either. We dont have a virus on our laptop as we have an anti virus software that works.

Please could someone help as word is something we have to use alot of the time.

Thanks

Please uninstall Microsoft Office completely - go to Control Pane-->Add/Remove Programs and select Microsoft Office. Completely uninstall the software, then reboot. Now download CCleaner and scan for issues with the REGISTRY. Scan/fix issues repeatedly until CCleaner finds no more. Reboot.

Now try installing Microsoft Office again and see if it runs alright.

If not you may have some hardware issues or you may have some software issues that are slowing your computer up. Any computer made within the last 7 years should load MS Word in less than 10 seconds w/ no errors at all. Please post back and let us know if your computer needs more work.

It keeps coming up with the same problems Activex/com issue and missing typelib, I have fixed the problems quite a lot now and it seems to scan and always come up at the same percentage 15% with the same issues. What should I do?

Did you follow all of the suggestions in my previous post?

I don't know what that means - CCleaner? What scan?

I'll be back around 7:30CST

Can you tell us what you did to get it to work? So that others who find this post may resolve their issue?
