Problem with Network Card

For some reason my network card simply does not work anymore, it appears to be uninstalled. I have no idea what could have happened but there was a blackout last night...computer was off though. In addition, it is being classified as "PCI Modem" rather than Realtek8139 under the Device Manager. I tried to fix this problem by uninstalling it and the devices located under Network Adaptors. I got a chance to download the drivers from another computer but the odd thing is, it is being recognized correctly under Network Adapters but is still listed as PCI Modem. I don't know why the card is listed under two categories.

I've tried manually installing drivers for the PCI Modem but that simply does not work. Is there anyway I can fix this without buying a new card? I have provided two pictures that will probably make things clearer.

PCI modem means you have a dialup modem on your system and it needs a driver. Your network card(realtek 8139) is properly installed according to device manager.

Ah okay. Could you explain or possibly provide a solution for my lack of internet access? I tried to swap in a different network card, assuming the one I had before died due to the power outage but I stll do not have internet access.

For some reason, my xbox can connect fine (wired) and so can my sibling's laptop. All three devices are connected to the same router.

Could be anywhere from a malware issue or hardware/software issue. It's hard to tell without looking at the machine.
