Problem with pointer.

I have a compaq Presario F500 PC and I accidentally clicked on the pointing device Icon in the Toolbar. I now still have a pointer on the screen that I can move around but when I click on something nothing happens. Can anybody out there tell me how to rectify this problem. Please help me as it is driving me crazy. Thank you,

Do a system restore back to before you did that and see if things are back to normal.
