Problem with router

I've got a computer that, up until tonight, was fine. Now, I can't access my ftp or website (hosted on a shared server). I've done nothing major to configurations. I have been having some problems with my router though. What would I look into for possible solutions on a Linksys Wireless-G router? I'm afraid to do much of anything. Every time I try to improve something, things get worse.

unplug it for 30-60 seconds and plug it back in

Thanks...turns out my host was down.

The timing was weird. I got home from work and had been doing some other problem solving. Did an outlook send and receive. My host e-mail came back but my other ISP didn't. I resent and the host e-mail failed but the ISP worked this time. So, I'm thinking I've got a router problem. I spent 3 hours looking at configurations. Other sites were fine, but my regular html site was down as well as the pop and smtp which got me thinking. Finally, I pinged my host IP and the packets came back fine which made me think it wasn't my issue.

What are the chances you sit down, get your e-mail and within 10 seconds your host goes down for 6 hours?! Like I said, weird timing.
