Problem with Video

Oddest thing happened -Whenever I play video through Winamp, or Windows Media player, the screen has a tint of green. Quicktime does not - neither do any of the graphics on the comp.


I've updated the video drivers but cannot figure out what is wrong! Any suggestions?

Do you have some filters installed (like divxg400)? Probably the video settings in such a filter cause the greenesh tint. Those settings are not applicable to Quicktime, so this can be an explanation.

THe specific problem here is that you are either missing or have a really old version of the FDDSHOW Directshow filter, most comonly used to do some funky stuff when decoding XVID movies. Grab a new one here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm (use the defaults during installation(
