Problem with WD 3TB drive

I just bought a WD caviar green 3tb drive and was about to format when I see that it has 2 partitions, 2tb and 746gb. I can only format the 2tb partition but not the 746gb one. I read a review on newegg that said that I need to update Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver, which I did but still nothing. Any thoughts?

If you are trying to format with the MBR scheme you can't get around it. You need to switch to GPT.
