Problem with Windows and WiFi software

Heres my problem. When I ordered my notebook Sager forgot to install my wifi card so they sent it to me and I had to do it. Between the time I got the notebook and the time I recieved my wifi card I was using a USB adapter (belkin). I installed the wifi card and installed the MSI software. Now that everything is installed (and belkin is uninstalled, finally) it has windows set as my default configuration utility. So I go to change it and I can't go any farther then "my network connections." Meaning when I right click on the connection and go to "view wireless connections" you can see the window pop-up then dissapear really quick. I can't get anywhere to change it. Whats the deal? I have scanned my comouter for spyware and viruses, nothing. ?????

Can't you just right-click on the wireless connection icon in control panel>network connection and then select properties and there is box checked in the which says "Use windows to manage my wireless connection" try un-checking it then opening the 3rd part software.

I can't get to that option. As far as I can get is My Network connections. Right clicking on the connection doesn't work. It will not bring anything up.

Not sure then, you could try to re-install over the existing copy of windows but even that might not fix the problem.

The last time I did that was on windows 95. Will it screw up my registry at all? I don't want to install all new drivers again. Any tips?
