After i rebooted my pc this message appeared " Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attemp to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-Rom.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

But i cant even boot from the cd drive without it going to that same screen above, has anyone had this problem before?

what do you mean you can't boot ?
you can boot from the CD even if you don't have HDD installed
anyway
check your BIOS and make the CD-Rom the first boot device
Put the CD and restart
boot from CD
select repair existing windows
and there you go

i got into booting the drive and after i hit repair it goes to a black screen and says "The Recovery Console provides system repair and recovery funtionality.

Type EXIT to quit the Recovery Console and restart the computer

1: C:\WINDOWS

Which Windows installation would you like to log into"

What does this mean? it asks for an installation number.

From the Recovery Console you could manually expand a needed file from the "I386" folder on the cd itself if you know the correct file name. But the type of file missing or simply being reported that way would require what is referred to as an "Install to Repair" where the XP installer will repair and replace needed system files without wiping the current installation. Your files and folders are preserved while fixing Windows itself. http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
